Bancroft
This little community of Bancroft lies in the northern part of Jefferson County, in the Bluegrass region, and shouldn't be confused with another Bancroft, Kentucky, located farther south near Bowling Green in Muhlenberg County. Jefferson County's Bancroft is home to 536 people living in 199 households, and is just a couple of miles from the Zachary Taylor House, which was the boyhood home, from 1790 until 1808, of our future President. The whole of Bancroft lies within a .17 square mile area between the Henry Waterson Expressway (I-264) and I-71, giving residents quick access to major roads leading to jobs in nearby metropolitan areas.
